Spock or Sylar

spock.jpg

I don’t know. Is this really the first promo pick you send out? Next thing you know he’ll be ripping the guys brains open for his powers. He looks like Nimoy. The problem is he looks like Sylar, especially in this pick. I do like the uniform. The mesh stuff looks nice and pratical and retains the classic look. The trailer is supposed to hit next month.Starting to get excited.

busy geek.

Heroes was pretty good tonight even if they are taking all their cues from Dc comics of the 1980’s and a little Star Trek thrown in. New R.A. Salvatore Drizzt book tomorrow. Can not wait. Need to get alot done, so little time. Someone should come out with a txt only phone. Make it cheaper monthly by eliminating air time and we will have a nation of text clogging the airwaves. I’d be fine with that, as you can end the conversation at any time. Just like I’m doing right now.

Art Walk!

Jessica has a show up called “Never Mind the Bears”, an exhibit of new and old mixed media work, during the Iowa City Gallery Walk tonight, Friday October 3, 2008 from 5-8pm. It’s at the Soap Opera store and should be up for at least a month. Go check it out if you have time.

Gaming for old geeks.

Haven’t really felt like playing much of anything lately. But when I do it’s usually Geometry Wars 2 or Castle Crashers. Simple little games that don’t require a lot of thought or energy. I suspect that to change considerably when Gears 2 comes out this fall, but for now I think I’m happy in 8-bit land. Speaking of which Mega Man 9 comes out for the 360 this week. Thought about downloading it for the Wii, but space issues and lack of achievements did it in for me. It’s nice to have these downloadable games that most of the gaming public is oblivious too, but are perfect for the hardened grumpy old side-scrollers like me.

Weds are Ghosts Days

ghost2.jpg So Wednesdays here are Ghost Hunters Nights. Jessica is hooked on that show worse than I’ve ever been hooked on anything. It’s kind of funny. I’m more interested in the hosts than the ghosts. They are some pretty funny guys. I think we may have to battle over the remote in a few weeks when Pushing Daisies returns, but hey both shows are about dead people right?
