A very nice comedy with a very sappy ending. This may very well steal the thunder from Mr. Depp and company. Once buzz spreads for this film. It has that borderline humor between gross and charming and just features a wonderful cast all around. Great if you need a laugh and hey who doesn’t?
Knocked up comes out today and looks to provide the 40 year old virgin fun of last year.
Then on June 8th is Ocean’s 13 and the actors involved make these movies worth it.
Then on June 15th we have Fantastic Four 2. It doesn’t have to be good, just better than the first one and I think everyone would be happy. Man we’ve lowered our standards.
Saw Waitress this afternoon. nice comedic break from the summer blockbusters. Playing alot of Worms over Live with my brother, and staying awake all night tonight for work. will be interesting.
Pirates 3 comes roaring across the screen and just looks more suited for the summer multiplex than 2’s over hokey humor and hamster ball effects. The story actually holds up nicely considering there are times when you’ve got 50 actors all with speaking lines, and Johnny Depp gets plenty of time to act with himself. Pretty well done, nice atmosphere and its Pirates! A plus!
O.k. should be mostly caught up, Ill be back on here regular for a while. Some things that piqued my interest this week,
food poisioning, nintendo media summit, B.P.R.D., LOst theories, The fall tv lineup, and a wonderful store in downtown Iowa City White Rabbit. It’s all local artists, t-shirts, prints and music and ts really a awesome store. Go check it out.
This could possibly be one of the best if not misleading drama’s in the history of television. The creators have 48 episodes to tie everything up. Lets hope they do it.
Finally saw Hot Fuzz today and where it’s not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead it still provides plenty of humor. A very good sendup of the cop-hero genre and just altogether ridiculous at all the right times. The guys from Reno 911 could learn something here.
My brother is in town. Has been since Friday. Reason for the lack of updates which will probably continue until when he leaves friday. Hope all is well out their in internet land.

Aegis Wing. Single player playthrough this morning. Pretty decent. will try mulitplayer tonight.
Just beat Super Paper Mario for the wii and it ends with a sweet if not corny way. Now the Wii will go dark until somebody releases something Im interested in playing for it. Of course Nintendo has things coming but the third party stuff is just kind of subpar so far don’t you think?
Picked up The Fountain and Pan’s Labrything on DVD today both of which I highly recommend.
