just a reminder Common Ground a joint show/installation by Jessica Whiteand Cody Gieselman, both participants in Lucky Creature Attacks , will have a reception tommorow night from 5-8, at Arts Iowa City Gallery in the Old Savings and Loan building. If you can’t come tommorow the show is open regular hours on Sunday 1-5 until the end of October.

Saw the Departed on friday. if you like Hong Kong action flicks you’ve got to see this. It’s everythings that’s great about those movies (minus bullet time-thank god) and is played by some of our best actors working today. Then went to see Ecu’s ice hockey team kill william and mary. Yes Ice hockey in greenville. Spent Saturday tailgating, and then watching East Carolina demolish Virginia. Pretty great weekend so far. Now I’m a little under the weather and am going to sit on the couch and watch the battlestar premiere from friday night.

Wow. Our very first record we put out. this to our recollection has been out of print for years. Two if by Sea one of our fine distributors has turned up some copies. so if you want this and don’t want to hunt ebay for it go there.

Hey I just found out about this band Empire! Empire! (I was a lonely etsate)
It’s Keith from Sea Defeats Sparrow (who are on our first comp latest project. And it just fills me with mineral and early emo yummies. Like it very much and will keep a close eye on this band.

Yeah! Preorders are shipping today! And both bands will have copies starting early next week so go see them rock the house and buy a 7″ from them. What is 3$ anyway? Tonight I’m driving out to Grinell, Ia to catch Rainer Maria and Driver of the Year, then its straight home and to bed for me as I rise to go to Chicago to see Mr. Shatner and Mr. Nimoy. What a geek moment.
Sunday back to work and then to see Nick Cave’s movie The Proposition starring an always intense Guy Pierce.

I’m really digging Fullmetal Alchemist. didn’t think I would but man that show is deep. I’m on episode 8. Maybe the best storytelling I’ve seen in the format in quite some time.
Also not so deep the new Dr. Who is actually pretty fun.
Playing lots of Super Monkey Ball ds. Some beyond good and evil on the ole cube.
