So the hotel was packed this year. Seemed everyone was there. Athena was hanging all over Loki, which must have infuriated Zeus, but oh well, what do they say about bad boys? The drinking was led by the norse kings again and over and under the tables the demons hovered. The card game was going rather smoothly. Apollo was winning but everyone at the table was waiting for Crounus to come around and start playing. Hercules was already in negotiations with the hotel staff for more food, but the manager was actually standing up to the brute. Diana laughed at that, happy that someone told Hercules no. She was swarmed by her female entourage as usual and all the male gods had long given up on attaining her hand. Boreas sat huddled in the corner and Auroura had her cloak pulled tight. Many parties had ended early when she let he light shine in. And of course in the middle of the room sat Volupia her crowd swarming. And on the typewriter was Clio recording it all. And me, I just watched it all. The gods and their set rotation.

I believe I have seen more films than ninety percent of people my age. I really do. I’ll watch anything and with anyone at any time of day. I have since I was about four. Well in the past three days I’ve added six more pictures to my list and they are as varied as they come. Watched Million Dollar Baby finally the other day. I stayed away from this picture for some reason. I’m glad i finally sat and watched it.
Saw Walk the Line at the New Strand on Friday which was very very good. Then last night watched Sexy Beast with Jessica. Ben Kingsley is scary. Then I popped in Godzilla, Mothra and King Giddorah All Out Monsters Attack for some fun Japanese monster laughs. We are housesitting for some friends and they have free Video on Demand so tonight we watched Jim Jarmusch’s Coffeee and Ciggarettes which i thought was very good and National Treasure with nicolas cage. National Tresure tries to hard and would have been a better film with Michael Bay as director. Honestly if your going to do a big action flick, go ahead and do it with blow stuff up Michael Bay. Not John Turtletaub.

o.k. 2005 is almost done. heres my top 6 movies of the year and also my bottom five.
#1 Serenity. My favorite Sci-fi Film possibly ever. That’s a pretty shiny accomplishment.
# 2 Batman Begins This is sure to change our superhero films for the better.
# 3 Kung Fu Hustle Stephen CHow is a genius and hopefully we here in America will get more of his zaniness soon.
# 4 Hustle and Flow, Terrance Howard is brilliant,
# 5 and 6 Good night Good Luck, and Broken Flowers, Amen to David Straithan and amen to Bill Murray’s fine acting this year.
Worst Five of 05.
#1 High Tension, This may be the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Ever.
2: Be Cool, yeah sorry even Travolta and Uma couldn’t save this one
3 Fantastic Four, Not so fantastic.
4 Elektra, Uhoh bennifer # 2 ruins another marvel characther, Two marvel movies in the bottom five even worse,
5: Miss Congenialty 2. Well Shatner is in this and for that i Give it a star and a half. Thank god he was in it.
So not that you care but I highly recommend the top six and please for your sanity as a lover of film don’t watch High Tension.
the people who let you talk about nothing, the people who write you a letter for no apparent reason, the ones who stick by you no matter what, the ones who let you cry and the ones who cry to you, the ones who understand, and the ones who wish for your happiness. We all have friends. Some we don’t think of as often as others, some we don’t even realise that they are there. But it’s human to have comrades and it’s extremley foolish to think you can do without it. It’s extremely foolish to ignore it and it’s even worse to pretend they aren’t important to you. I feel amazed at every conversation i play with each of you in my head. Words become more important and their true meanings keep me up sometimes, wondering where we really are in life and living. Hold hands guys and gals, lets take this journey together.
