Geek Purchase of the Week!

May I reccomend Jason’s The Last Musketeer. This comic by one of Europe’s finest tells the tale of one of the Three Musketeers, still alive in the present day and Earth’s only hope to fend off a Martian invasion. (of course that makes perfect sense:>) If you’ve ever read Jason’s The Left Bank Gang or his I killed Adolf Hilter, then you know what to expect, but for everyone else it’s a unique comic storytelling style that you can only find in the comic format full of great color and humor and truly bizarre story.

I promise to write more. Starting today.

O.k. so I know I’ve been neglecting this blog for other ventures but I promise starting today to get back on track.
I want to mention last weeks LOST so if you dont need spoilers read no more? I really like how they tied loose ends and still added more questions. Does anyone think there is any signifigance to Penelope’s father bidding on a painting of the black rock? (for those who dont know, the black rock was the old ship on the island where they found the dynamite in the 1st season) Im surprised at how many of my friends missed that completely. I think out of the new characthers the scientist is by far the best. Its been a great season so far, lets hope they keep it up.

New peas page , plans.

Peas page 33 is UP It’s almost March and it occurs to me that I haven’t really made many announcements for 08. There is a physical product on it’s way for Peas, (those who picked up our unspoken zine, there is a hint on the last page) whenever I get time to finish it and there is also LCA # 3 which we still need some good submissions for. Most of our time has been spent developing con-news and it is a very good work in progress. It’s a different avenue for us for sure and we are happy that we are filling a niche that really isn’t on the web yet, but it is a lot of work. I have ideas for easier ways of expanding our physical presence and our internet one but as always I’m open to suggestions. No matter what part of luckycreature.com you support or frequent, thanks a bunch, it means a lot.

There is just soo much snow. It gets really old. I was wondering how as children it could be so fascinating and so much fun, and now its just yucky and kind of tiring. Switch on the old grumpy man face I guess. Anyway it is what it is. Im thinking of going to Minneapolis this weekend so wish me luck that Im not stuck in a snow bank come monday morning.

Reminder only two more days left for our music sale.

life.

So the oral surgeons want to see me again two weeks. Everything is healing nicely but they are alittle concerned as am i that the left have of my jaw is still all numb and tingly.(like a foot falling asleep but all the time). So that will be interesting.
Im so sick of snow that it’s not even funny and I think we are no where near out of the woods yet. Been too busy to do to much of anything lately but I have been catching Lost and Torchwood (which i highly reccomend). I think Im going to try and write stuff this weekend. maybe.

well that went well.

My bottom jaw is still numb and the back teeth probably hurt more without the pain killers but all in all it went well. We have booked a train vacation stopping first in East Glacier National Park and then onwards to Seatlle. Any reccomendations for cool things to do?
Were going in late May so it may still be somewhat cold. Hoping the weather holds out for my drive to Chicago this weekend.
