Emo Cat & Zombie Lincoln

Recently asked for suggestions on creatures to paint. Got Emo Cat, cereal characters and Presidents. Well knocked out emo cat and then turned Lincoln into a zombie because of course one of our famous presidents would like to eat your brains.. Both on my Etsy site. I figure Lincoln wont last long. Also, send me more requests. I’d never would have done a lincoln if it wasn’t for your requests.

Placebo part 3

Sparrow Sprite wears her strawberry blonde locks in pigtails. Her eyes are covered in blue makeup, shadowing the dark brown eyes you never see on tv. She’s wearing a Pixies t-shirt, and ripped at the knees jeans. Blue boots with hot pink laces stomp towards me.
“Hey, got a smoke?”
Damn it. That clerk was trying to help me out.
“No …uhmm.. Sorry.”
She rolls her eyes and passes me into the neon storefront. What the hell is Sparrow Sprite doing here?
This isn’t the town or the area for stars of her ilk, and we have no music scene. I have to ponder the reasons later as three gun shots ring out from inside the 7-11.
Three shots that change my life.

NC Comicon day 1

Day 1 of the show went awesome. Lots of creatures found new homes. Its a neat set up being in an outlet mall in multiple old store fronts. Having a food court instead of convention center food is a plus. If today goes as well as yesterday we will back attending the next NC Comiccon in the future. The show goes to 6 today and then we will head back to Asheville. See you there!

Underwater Sculpture

The new installation currently in progress by Jason deCaires Taylor, installed in The national marine park of Cancun/ Isla Mujeres, Mexico. 250 of the 400 life size Statues casted from local members of the community to form an artificial reef.

This is amazing art to me. Can you imagine a hundrend years from now youll see this coral reef down in the ocean depths and maybe one of these faces will peak out at you? It’s brilliant.

Death of Joseph Wells now out!

The Death of Joseph Wells is now out! I’m the writer on this awesome comic with the super talented Daniel L Maw. It follows the journey of a young cowboy at the end of his life. I’m super happy to see it in print and hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ll have copies this weekend at the NC Comic Con and for those farther away, it’s available at Comixpress in full color for $5.
Thanks for your support and would love to hear what you think after giving it a read.

Placebo Part 2

About two blocks from Rahkim’s I walk into a 7-11. Chemical Floor Cleaner.
I wander the aisles, debating between a Reese’s peanut butter cup or the Trix bar. It’s tough being me. I go with the cups, and grab a Mountain Dew from the fogged over drink cooler. The clerk eyes me suspiciously, scans my items,
“You want cigarettes?”
“Um. No just this.”
I think it makes him mad. Whatever. I take my caffeine and sugar outside. The sun is setting and the neon of the store starts to cast a shadowy glow on life outside.
I sit on a concrete parking barrier, and eat my chocolate. My wallet is empty, my debts are clear, and the air is crisp with a summer kick. I’m thinking that life should always be like this.
And then the blue Corvette pulls up. I see her instantly. Sparrow Sprite.
And I can’t breathe.
—–continued.
