College Football

I love college Football. I hate college football when it comes to the BCS. I should make where I’m coming from clear. I’m an East Carolina fan and so its from outside the BCS. What cracks me up in this recent realignment is hearing teams like Kansas cry because the PAC10 is making a money grab. Welcome to the world outside the bcs Kansas. Welcome to not getting millions of dollars for just being in a league, whether you win or not.
Welcome to what the rest of college football(and regardless of what tv tells you the majority of teams) experience every season.
I hope the whole thing blows up in there faces. But wait, can East Carolina join a BCS conference now? Say yes, and Ill tell Kansas to quit whining too. :>

Rubicon

From AMC, which because of Mad Men I’ll give anything they do a shot. If this is as good as it looks and with The Walking Dead series coming this fall, AMC will be eating my tv hours.

Polka Dot Creature

Polka Dot Creature now available on etsy. You’ll notice my price for originals has gone up to the outrageous $6 price point. These things cost almost the entire 5 dollars to make in canvas, paint, etc, so I’m just trying to turn a slight profit here. I left most of the old ones at $5 so get them while you can. Go To Etsy

Heroescon has grown so much since I last went. We have already decided we will have a split Heroes & Criminals/Lucky Creature table next year.

Having fun at ConCarolinas. Should be home late tommorow night, when I will get some pictures up including an awesome print I bought.

Charleston.

We are in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Spent the day at Isle of Palms swimming in the ocean. It was pretty nice day, not much in the way of great waves but a nice breeze, not overrun with tourists. Went across the bridge into Charleston for dinner. Ate at the Crab House on market street. We joked that our hotel was cheaper than our seafood dinner, but it was worth it.

I like plastic things.

Here’s a shot of my minimates and the new two tiered stand Jess built for me today from some poplar wood at Lowes. Minimates do a few things for me. They fill my need to collect something. They are small so they don’t take up too much space. And they cover lots of my fandoms all at once, including Marvel, Star Trek, and BSG. The cool Ghostbuster ones don’t hurt either. And they actually act as a small bit of inspiration for my creature paintings. So anyway, heres a shot of some of my little plastic men and women, making sure I don’t grow up.
