One Cool Thing 8-15-2020 Local Buggy Food Truck
We went out and found the Local Buggy Food Truck today. It’s tucked away at 803 Old Fairview Rd in Asheville, NC. Hidden but not far from main roads. It was raining when we arrived but still a good crowd ordering.
It was worth it. I had a great Chorizo Torta, Milo a cheeseburger and Jessica two tacos. Everything was fresh and a great pick me up on a raining day. We will be back.

One Cool Thing 8-12-2020 Agents of Shield
Agents of Shield ends a seven season run tonight on Abc. While Marvel Studios had hit after hit at the theater, Marvel television struggled. But somehow ABC kept renewing Shield despite uneven story arcs and sagging ratings.
I tuned in weekly for seven years because I couldn’t quit Marvel but I’m not sure this show will have any lasting meaning for me as a fan. But still 7 years of tv is an accomplishment.

One Cool Thing 8-10-2020 Perry Mason
Perry Mason just wrapped up it’s first season on HBO. The show chose to start at Mason’s life as a private eye that then morphed into him becoming a lawyer under less than legit circumstances.
The show has some off episodes that kind of fill in his journey but the cinematography in those still carry it through. It’s a great update on the old La noire lawyer and I’ll watch more during the planned second season.

One Cool Thing 8-9-2020 Silverball Subs
SIlverball Subs is open at 347 New Leicester Hwy in Asheville, NC. I made the trip with Milo earlier this week. Not only do they have pinball but the sub was delicious and good cheap beer as well.
The six machines they currently have are Jurassic Park, Space Station, Beatles, Star Wars (Stern), Captain Fantastic, and Stranger Things. They are all in great condition. I wish they would turn the volume up on them a bit but it is a restuarant as well.

One Cool Thing 8-8-2020 Fall Guys
We got this as part of this months Playstation Plus lineup but it is available for you on whatever platform you play on. Obviously if that is Playstation, grab it now while it’s free.
The game is a multiplayer online game show. You and 60 other players race through obstacle courses trying to ‘qualify’ for the next round. Some of the design choices are super intuitive and the added team versus team levels mean you can’t just rely on your skils to survive. Matches go quick so its a fun game for a quick 15 minute bout of insanity. Pick it up.
