One cool thing 9-8-2020 Xbox Series X

Long rumored, Xbox officially announced the Xbox series x today, a lighter discless version of their new Xbox slated for this fall. This system is less powerful then the new xbox but can do more than the current systems. At $299 its a steal for next gen gaming, but if you have the means I think the more modern option X is the way to go. Still its nice to have an option for entry level gaming in the next gen, and if you just stream your games its not a bad option. It releases November 10th.

One cool thing 9-3-2020 Dragoncon goes virtual.

Every Labor day, myself and 85k geeks descend onto downtown Atlanta and revel for five days across five hotels, a convention center and even the entire streets during a Saturday parade, Sadly covid claims another victim this year but the fine folks at Dragoncon have set up three full rooms of virtual programming, a virtual dealer room , a discord and more.

One Cool Thing 9-2-2020 Avengers Infinity Quest Pinball

Announced today, Stern Pinball is releasing their next game and its a comic based Avengers game. Designed by Keith Elwin (Iron Maiden, Jurassic Park) it is sure to shoot well. It has some neat ramp features I haven’t seen in a while and the lifting spinner is straight out of Cirqus Voltaire. I’ll need to flip it first but I may be after this game in my home collection if it feels good.

One Cool Thing 8-30-2020 Uncommon Market

Went out and checked out the Uncommon Market today in the River Arts District in Asheville, NC. Part flea market, part art market and surrounded by great graffiti buildings and artist studios it was a nice outdoor outing to browse a little. Jessica picked up a fisher price slide viewer for $5.
