X-men: First Class.

When I first heard they were making this, I was pretty meh about it. The first trailer came out and I saw some good things, but this trailer right here kind of nails the feeling of early X-men perfectly. This will at least wash the taste of X3 and Wolverine out. I love the style choices being made, and really this has become the summer Marvel movie for me over Thor and Captain America. Can’t wait.

Placebo Part 26

I’m in my dressing room with Ginger and Toni, two of my bandmates. They have no clue as to what is going to happen tonight. I’ve been with them both for such a long time. Ginger I’ve know since grade school. I close my eyes and picture her twenty years earlier, her hair in pigtails as we played on the monkey bars. She knows about Tommy Lee, but nothing else. I feel like I’m slightly betraying her.
A knock on the door. Its Jackson. He stands there looking more handsome then I remember. A knowing look sends my bandmates out. Time for the show to start,

“Hi Jackson, Glad you came,” I say as I put my hands around his neck. I reach up a give him a passionate kiss. He doesn’t pull away but brings me closer and something in his pull makes my heart race.
It’s a kiss I planned, but not the kiss I was expecting.

Hoshicon

Had a great time at Hoshicon yesterday. Saw some friendly faces, and made some new ones as well.
Only did one commision yesterday, It was this Cobra Commander. Girl who ordered it wanted a rainbow because well, you know, it’s Cobra Commander.

I’ve painted him so many times, More than probably any other creature. I guess people like my take on him.
I also worked on the below creatures, all now up on Etsy. They include, The Doctor & Tardis, Thor & Captain America, Swamp Couple, and Sonic and Knucles. Ten bucks each on Etsy

Jessica, future author

My awesome wife Jessica White has a book coming out Fall 2012 from Lark Books. She has made plenty of handmade artist books during our time together, it will be interesting to see her first ‘commercial’ print run. I’m already hoping to be her assistant on any “book tours.” Anyway, she’s made the first official post about the project on her blog I’m sure it will be something I mention more and more in the next year.

Skynet.

Remember, Skynet is now up and self aware. And if The Sarah Connor Chronicles are to be believed we all die tommorow. Oh well, also in less than a 100 years we will be traveling at Warp Speed. And in just a few years Marty Mcfly will be flying around on his hoverboard. How cool is that?
